Mosyle - what causes iPad to go into limbo mode?

I have 2 staff iPad's that randomly will put themselves into limbo mode in Mosyle. Sometimes it happens after a week, sometimes a month.

 

Any idea what might be causing this?

Do you have a passcode policy set? Ours are set to wipe after 10 failed attempts so imagine they would automatically go back into limbo after that

Sounds more sensible than my idea that someone has split Lilt on them and the totally tropical taste had enabled their limbo skills.
