Hi All,

Does anyone working a in school post school videos created in school on Youtube?

Pros and Cons?

The school website will only links to a video rather than host, due to file size.

I would be interested in any links to those that do.

Thanks

Pros, it's easy. Cons, anyone can see these videos. Even if they are unlisted there are websites out there that will find unlisted videos. Can you host the videos on OneDrive / SharePoint /GDrive then embed that?

Yes I thought is would be easy as were a Google school, but I think the cons may out way the pro's if they are can be commented on, however the school runs a Facebook page which for which I have no part in or wish too.

I am also looking at Vimeo as another school uses that to embed the link.

OneDrive\GDrive maybe an option its more of a promotional type of video for the school rather than whats going on.

Thanks

You can disable comments and hide likes/dislikes on youtube if you do go down that route. As others have mentioned, is it a promotional video of some kind?

They are going to use the schools Facebook page which is more targeted towards parents from a link on the school website which suits me as I don't do the Facebook page, the SLT do.

I suspect that I will be helping them edit the video's before posting the link to the Facebook page.

Thanks for the pointers.
