New teachers unable to see assignments on teams

Hi all

 

I have come to attention that new staff are unable to set assignments from teams for their new class. Existing staff can do it ok. I have checked permissions, group and all seems ok.

 

Do i need to check anything specific that i have missed obvious?

They are definitely set as owners/teachers in the team?

Yep they are owners in the teams group and are part of teachers group like other staff are

I think, i found reason, i created teams group from the teams admin portal.

 

I tried creating a test classroom within teams as administrator and there i got option to create class. I didnt in the admin side. Maybe this is reason, can i convert my teams to class?

Nope. You’ll have to create a new one with the correct type and migrate the content across I’m afraid.
