networkmangler Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 We had an issue with Outlook when a user changed their password Outlook would ask for the users new password, they would enter the new details and then get a similar error We found that after a few days it would just suddenly work and be fine I would ask if the users have recently changed their password

chekmate1984 Posted September 23, 2022 Author Posted September 23, 2022 Yep i even tried logging in myself and tried setting up my outlook but had same thing, so seems liek something with machine than User profile. The internet icon is also a globe icon than the 2 monitors. PC thinks there is no internet but there is internet.

Could try a winsock reset or to reset the TCP/IP settings? I’ve had that work before to fix Outlook issues. netsh winsock reset netsh int ip reset
psydii Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 Is there an on-prem server anywhere? Is it possible they are one of the remaining users with access to a mailbox on the server, and has the server (perhaps) had its certificate expire?
BroganOs Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 Check azure ad to see if they are signing in using basic authentication?

That's the issue, nothing to do with outlook It's a service called NCSI and if it thinks you dont have internet access, apps that respect the crap it spews out will not even try to connect You will find a million suspected causes of it, everything from NIC drivers to a few registry keys. I guess the good news here is if it's consistently not working you should be able to determine what fixes it by trial-and-error
chekmate1984 Posted September 27, 2022 Author Posted September 27, 2022 Thanks guys, i have made list of things to check out and will do that when i on site on thursday at that school. Last option is reimage which i want to avoid but have no choice if things don't work. As both are admin users,. reception and business manager i want to avoid reimage.
