ICT Technician in independent secondary school - £20k - £23k

Provide technical support and ensure the smooth running of the IT systems and networks on site.

 

Work with the school to:

 

• Organise all ICT resources to meet the company’s requirements.
  
• Troubleshoot systems and technical problems and provide support and solutions.
  
• Diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues across a range of software and operating systems.
  
• Monitor the schools firewall and security system, SmoothWall, ensuring that inappropriate material is correctly filtered to keep students safe.
  
• Refer any security issues, firewall and filter breaches to the Safeguarding team and other appropriate staff.
  
• Maintain virus protection on all school owned computers and servers
  
• Administer user accounts for students
  
• Carry out initial technology and computer repairs.
  
• Set up students devices and register them to the Buckswood Network
  
• Set up and move IT and AV equipment as required.
  
• Change and replenish toner and ink cartridges.
  
• Provide timely support for all student and staff computer users.
  
• Update user information on all systems.
  
• Ensure that all users adhere to the Acceptable Usage Policy standards.
  
• Plan and undertake maintenance updates.
  
• Liaise with contractors for maintenance of ISP, telephone systems, CCTV systems, firewall, MIS.
