techie08 Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 Does anyone know of any free data recovery software so i can retreive data from a USB Pen drive? Thanks
kmount Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 Quick search on here will return you lots of results to do precisely what you want.
Netman Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 Try these: Recuva - Undelete, Unerase, File Recovery - Home Avira UnErase Personal
techie08 Posted June 30, 2008 Author Posted June 30, 2008 ive tried a couple of these but dont seem to work. The problem is the USB Drive askes to be formatted when you insert it and Theres definatly data on there (supposedly!)
flashsnaps Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 I always recommend this: PhotoRec - CGSecurity Does a good job for smaller devices like memory sticks, wouldn't recommend it for Hard Drives though. 1
CHR1S Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 I have always used "Get Data Back" you can do a FAT independent recovery and its always worked for me.
RabbieBurns Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 2nd shout here for get data back You can download the free trial off the website, and although it doesnt let you do full disk recovery in free mode, you can recover file by file, which is ideal if its only a couple of files on a usb pendrive you need
roty80 Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 I'd also reccomend 'Recuva' or 'Get Data Back', but if neither of these work you can download free trials of DiskInternals recovery software that is also quite good: Download undelete software. NTFS Recovery
bossman Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 Same here can recommend get data back both fat and ntfs versions
