Hi,

Hoping you can help.

A user has been given a new Laptop which is joined to the Domain just like the old.

However, when logging into the new, the Files/Docs in the Documents folder do not follow and is blank.

What setting am I missing for this users Documents to follow no matter which device signed into.

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks

First thought: Is the laptop in question in the correct OU in Active Directory? (along with other devices which work as expected when users logon)

If the user signs into another laptop and another user sign into the questionable laptop, does the issue follow the user or the laptop? That will tell you where to look.

It sounds like folder redirection either isn’t set up or isn’t working. That’s a user Group Policy.

Make sure you copy all of the user’s documents to a backup before configuring this - there is a distinct risk of wiping the home folder clean.

Yes in the correct OU but will double check this just to make sure.

Will be checking GP also.

Thanks for the responses.
