[bromcom] Any schools using Bromcom and SatchelOne / Google Classroom

As title we are having some strange quirks at the start of this academic year that I am trying to get to the bottom of.

 

SatchelOne does not seem to have added all of the new classes (it seems hit and miss and I cant spot ANY pattern between those which have been created, and those which havent) and students have not been placed in reg group. They are saying Bromcom is reporting the academic year as 2021 which is possibly causing the issue. Our academic year is set correctly but I do wonder if there is something hard coded in that suits most schools - but not those in Leicestershire who start back a week or so early.

 

All of our Google Classrooms (all 500ish of them!!!) have been setup with an Academic Year of 2021, once again despite the academic year being setup correctly and everything rolling over as it should.

 

Wondered if anyone was in a similar boat to us?

I've seen the same thing with Google Classroom. According to Bromcom it's because we are still in August (just) and our timetable does not start till next week. I've just unticked the year box in Bromcom for now to make the 2021 disappear.

 

I'm just hoping all the teachers and students get correctly added to classes when we actually go back next week. We shall see. Don't use to satchel one.

The expected functionality with Google Classrooms is that Staff and Students are added on the first user sync run after they become active on Bromcom. So If a student's enrolment date is 01/09/22, they'll be added to the tenant on the first sync run on or after that date. Alternatively, if a Staff Member's Contract starts on 02/09/22, they will be added after the first sync from this date onwards.
