Paxton Net2 - Change Unlock door during; time zone

Hi,

 

I am off next week and we have a company who are booking the site for lettings and board. Is it possible to change the unlock the door during time zone on a number of doors at a specific date using triggers and actions?

Just don't want to do this remotely when I am meant to be on holiday. Usually I would just change the time zone now, but can't as we have a different group onsite now.

We have "Custom days" setup for School Holidays, Inset Days and bookings setup in the time zones. Then under Genral Options we put in the dates we want them to be active.

Usually I would suggest using 'Custom Days' add the days you are wanting to affect, then in the timezone set the public holiday bar to the times you want it open.

 

But if you want to use Triggers and Actions then I believe the following should work:

 

Add New Trigger & Action

Select at a Specific time

Select the start date, run time, days to run and expiry date

Select Control a Door

Select hold door open

Choose the doors to affect

Name the rule something like open doors

 

 

Now create another rule that runs at the end of each day and select 'Close door' as the action.

 

I would just be aware that triggers and actions are dependant on the server being available, i.e if it fails the doors may end up being left unlocked. Might not be a problem, usually external doors get locked manually anyway.

Thank you, didn’t know about custom days. As I have never done anything with public holidays.
