Hi

We have moved to Bromcom earlier this academic year and are slowly building everything we need. We finished the academic year using our old reporting software which the owner / developer is retiring so have a view to using Bromcom going forward.

I understand that we need to use WebMerge reports and this is in theory fine. Our current reports are a full A4 page per subject when you take into account Course Outline, Grades, Teacher Comments, Development Guidance etc.

Now I totally get the idea that when in a table the subject does not appear if there is no data for it but how do I get the system to miss pages out entirely if there is no data (i.e. if the student does not take that subject. For example in KS4 we have about 30 subjects but on average a student will have 8 pages (subjects).

The help page on the Bromcom support site is more akin to a 1 page report style containing a single table with all subjects which is what we use for termly assessments home to parents.

Any thoughts would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Hi NX01

So with Bromcom's Web Merge Reports, we do have an option to skip missing rows (Students who don't return data).

This should work for Whole Pages as well but it depends what else the page is in your Web Merge Template. If you have Student Name and Tutor Group on every page for example, then the Student will still show even if there is no Assessment Data for them. However, if the page is entirely Assessment Data then the system should skip the page if the Student does not have a grade yet.

Please feel free to DM me if you have further questions.

Kind regards,

Bromcom Support
