Hi

We are trying to import a CTF from one of our feeder primaries. Unfortunately they appear to have a coding issue which they are seemingly unable to resolve. I've attached a screenprint which indicates there's an error in a very specific location on the sheet.

Obviously we are in a haste to import this CTF before the year end. Unfortunately I'm not much of a techie, but if anyone could point me in the right direction re resolving this error, I'd be extremely grateful (ideally I'd also attach a copy of the CTF but cannot do so because of the obvious requirement for confidentiality).

Very many thanks in anticipation of your assistance.

Hi Carter USM

Can I ask that you contact Bromcom Support please

Kind Regards

Best to contact Bromcom as they've offered, but a few times I've had CTF files given to me and required manual checking or editing in something like notepad or notepad++ (eg replacing odd funny text character, or seeing that the file is unfinished or corrupted). CTFs seem to be based on XML, some IT techs or anyone with strong web skills should be able to view the code and possibly identify the root problem, in conjunction with those error messages you had.

I rather suspect the school name is "St John's Something" and the import (and Excel) either doesn't like the apostrophe, or it's been output as a smart apostrophe like Word does with double quotes.
