I know this is nothing to do with IT, however I have been asked to investigate a low voltage power installation for two new music suites.

 

I seen that some schools have a large DC transformer with individually fused outputs which supply 12V DC to the desk.

 

Has anyone got these, if so do you have any names and specs you could share?

I've seen music classrooms before with standard AC power sockets built in to the floor. If you go for those, get extra-deep ones as the power adapters that come with keyboards and suchlike tend to be extra chunky.

I presume this is for keyboards?

 

We use these:

 

Stontronics Digital MVA6 at Music Village Education

 

Each one powers up to 6 keyboards.
