It differs on the range:

RE01 - 8.0

RM03 - 9.0

RP02 - 8.0

 

They run on a customised version of Android and is locked down apart from our apps and features (though as with all Android OS you can enable unknown sources etc.). Updates are covered for the lifetime of the product and can either be installed manually via USB (with firmware provided from our service team), manually via OTA from the screen or manually via the cloud based DMS Device Management System.

 

You can also disable Android completely and keep the touch, if you just want an interactive panel to control an external device, driver free - supporting PC, mac & Chromebook.

I finally submitted the order for approval last week:

- Logitech K400 wireless keyboard and track pad (Input)

- OPS VeryPC i5 Windows 10 machine (Integration)

- IPEVO VZ-R HDMI/USB Dual Mode Visualiser (Visualizer)

- AVer DL30 webcam 2MP 1920 x 1080 (Person Tracking Webcam)

- Whitley Jones Teaching Wall (Furniture)

 

Hopefully that should give us the best of equipment for display, input, integration, visualisation and recording.

I'm quite excited about the teaching wall as well, hopefully it integrates nicely.

The last piece of the jigsaw is an auto tracking PTZ camera at the back of the classroom.

 

Has anyone installed one of these for remote lesson recording? I've had a quick google but hard to find reviews.

I nearly ended up putting one in a classroom at the start of covid for a member of staff that sought from home right the way through, Sadly they ended up going for a cheap webcam that we gaffa-taped to the ceiling instead
