New Toy, the USBC tester!

got one of these for USBC diagnostics. it can do the obvious monitor the voltage and current draw in line. BUT it can read the emarker chip on a passive cable and tell you the reported specs on a given USBC powersupply.

 

cable test, showing that it is not a 20Gigabit cable but a 10... but it is a full 20v5a (100watt) cable that is 1m long.

tested the oculus quest 5m usbc to usbc optical cable, DP Alt mode not supported...
