Into Film+ - 'Free' Streaming Service

Signed up fine for this until it tries to match your location to where you are on a map so you can watch a film. Never seems to locate me close enough to where I am which is odd.

Hi all

I've come back to this again. Does anyone else use it? It all works fine apart from streaming the actual films. I've let everything I can see through the filter but I still get a blank screen when trying to watch a film. Works fine on mobile data.

It works here, and we even got them to whitelist our IP so we don't need to prove our location via GPS and apps and stuff. It doesn't get used much here though, they'd still rather ask me to allow Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. instead. NOPE!!

Just signed up, tried to watch a film and was immediately location blocked (QR code to scan).

I'm guessing that's got to be par for the course? Cisco Meraki SM does the same because our devices are only ever on Wi-Fi (although I've entered in our public IP to be the 'home' location).

What would be the way of determining someone's location if the network node (ours is LGfL) shows London and we're in Bedfordshire?

@Jawloms did you just send a message to their support?

If I remember correctly, I filled out the contact form on their website explaining we're in the depths of the countryside with poor mobile signal and a strict 'no phones' policy which we impose on staff in front of the students too, so could it be done by IP instead. I got an email from someone there who basically asked what the IP was, and then a little while later I got another telling me it was whitelisted. Lovely! We are a single site with our own broadband connection so nice and simple to figure out where we are.

Can I ask how you got in touch with them please? I've tried a couple of times and got nowhere.

Yeah, I'd forgotten about it but as the end of term approaches the streaming of films (can I use my Disney+/Amazon Prime/Netflix account etc.) is becoming a heavily requested thing (come back laptops with DVD players)!

I've emailed them and used the 'contact us' form with no reply...

I've had that too, but they were really helpful on the phone.

Until everybody who wants to stream films this week reads this and their switchboard gets jammed... :p
