njreynolds Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 Hi Does anyone know of an ADBLOCKER for a Windows Network that I can edit the allow & deny lists globally ? I know ADBLOCKER PLUS is awesome, but I don't think there is a way to edit the "allow" lists globally or even inject them into each PC. Thanks
RLR Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 If you use Chrome then you could setup uBlock origin. You can push extensions out via GPO but I'm not sure if you can create a allow/deny list locally without some sort of script running. There might be another method with Chrome though and that's using the Google Admin console to manage Chrome Browser. I believe this has more functionality and may allow you to create the allow/deny lists. 1
IRL Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 (edited) You can deploy UBlock Origin by GPO and assign a whitelist to it as well. It's far better than Adblock+ which allows paid for whitelists and greater CPU usage. https://www.krisolaf.net/2020/05/deploying-ublock-origin-whitelist-for.html You can also set up a PiHole on your network. mavhc Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 If you just want dns blackholing, that's simple enough, but if you want url filtering, more tricky
