This came up on my news feed today as it's part of the BBC's "Life Changing" series. Basically in 1991, after most of the officers abandoned the passengers of a stricken liner to their fates in a storm, the house entertainers managed to get everyone to safety. It's the sort of story that, if you saw it in a "based on a true story" film, you'd assume that it was very loosely based on the true story.
