sippo Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 How big is the IT Team? Is it supporting just the one secondary or are there primaries as well?
Moohorse Posted April 5, 2022 Author Posted April 5, 2022 How big is the IT Team? Is it supporting just the one secondary or are there primaries as well? Hi Sippo, There are two other IT technicians currently along with our Lead IT Practitioner (and me at the moment) supported by two excellent consultants where necessary. This role is just to manage the network of one secondary.
danbee Posted April 6, 2022 Posted April 6, 2022 Hi Moohorse, How much influence does the IT Network Manager have in the decision making process and strategic direction of IT resources in the school; i.e. which hardware/software to purchase, which suppliers to use. Just trying to understand how the role of Lead IT Practitioner influences the role of IT Network Manager. Thanks
Moohorse Posted April 7, 2022 Author Posted April 7, 2022 Hi Danbee, The Network Manager is a fundamental part of the decision making process, and all purchase decisions are made by them, as long as the Trust's procurement process is followed (three quotations for large purchases etc. showing best value - not necessarily cheapest). The Lead IT Practitioner will also be responsible for determining the Teaching and Learning requirements, curriculum need etc., both roles feed in to the strategic direction. 1
sippo Posted May 17, 2022 Posted May 17, 2022 Was this position filled as I applied but never heard anything back.
