DirtySnipe Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 When you create a new article and you click on the link to insert a movie file what folder is its root thats its looking in as i cannot seem to get a movie file src location right no matter what I try.

Now when i insert movie file in article i put in the following. type Windows Media File/url movie.mpg dimensions 300 x 300 saved the details and saved the article. The article loads with the media player but the file still wont load.

Ric_ Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 The JomlaWorks guys at JoomlaWorks | The Joomla! & Mambo Professionals make some ace plugins... one of them is used to embed videos. You can even embed vids of YouTube, Google Videos, Yahoo Videos, etc. with simple tags.
SimpleSi Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 I've tried out inserting .flv and .wmv files on my local test setup and they both work fine. These (as well as quicktime) are the most common file formats used for streaming so I'd try converting your .mpg to one of them. IF you want .flv - i recommend using Riva Video Encoder. regards Simon
