Jobos Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 At the beginning of the year we bought 32 iPads but now 1 is faulty with coloured lines flashing across the screen. As the iPad is under warranty who is responsible for the repair? I've contacted the supplier who told me to contact Apple so entering the details into the Apple repair site and it appears we have to take the iPad to the center for repair. Is that the way it works as I thought the supplier was responsible and they collect or at the very least we use a courier and they sent it back? I'm getting the feeling the supplier is fobbing me off for a easy life!
localzuk Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 All depends on what you bought - rules for businesses are very different to consumers. Where we are, we're 40+ miles from a repair center, so when we've had to get Apple stuff repaired under AppleCare, they have always used their alternative and arranged C&R - but have to speak to someone at Apple for that.
Jamman960 Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 Apple tend to be pretty good with their service, in the past we've booked an appointment at the local "Genius Bar" and they've swapped the device after a brief inspection. If you've engraved them the process may be different though.
Mark182 Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 As it is under warranty log it here they are an authorised apple repair centre.
ITGuyNW Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 In previous jobs, it was always easier to deal with Apple directly.
atcoates Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 Apple just replaced ours under Warranty and they arranged collection and delivery from our school. We just initiated a chat with apple support and they sorted it. They also added the replacement into our DEP account. We used the Mail-In repair service.
Jobos Posted March 2, 2022 Author Posted March 2, 2022 Thanks everyone, I'll give Apple a try and failing that Jigsaw24.
