Veeam temp snapshot - deletion?

Hi all

Just after second opinion.

We have datastore with 4tb storage and is currently running at under 10gb!

Reason for this is there is numerous servers done Veeam backup but has not deleted the temp VMs. For example Sims server has 3 snapshots by Veeam. I can see the server is using HD000002 than the.

This snapshot issue is for all servers that use that data store.

Question I have is, can I just delete all snapshots or do I need to consolidate? Seems like only sims server is saying I need to consolidate other servers don’t have that option.

 

Like we have a file server that’s using 000003.vmdk file – as 3 snapshots, if just delete all snapshots will it go and use the original hard drive or do I need to consolidate/merge for it to work?

Main issue I have is lack of space and I believe this is important!

I have started one server to do a delete all snapshot as there was 7 snapshots. Started at 7 and at 10am its on 2% still.
