Hi,

Hoping you can help.

Just a quick question, can you have the same MSI file twice in a GPO?

Reason I ask is, was trying to push out a software but had the MSI twice and it ignored the first but deployed the 2nd 🤷🏻♂️

Not sure why but was confused.

Will this cause issues or should this not have worked or not be done this way.

Thanks in advance

As no-one else seems willing to pitch in on this...

I'd assume this is intended behaviour as it will install the most "recent". Just did it on an old unused one here and got:

Not sure what you're trying to achieve by having it twice but if it was a mistake I'd just remove the second entry. If the software is still needed, make sure you choose the "continue" type option. I think any machine that didn't already have the installation should get it from the original entry, but would advise checking.

Thank you for your response.

It wasn’t intentional but was curious as to why it pulled the 2nd and not the first and by removing the 2nd which it did deploy, would it cause any issues.

But yea, I did check the continue option.

Thanks again
