I was wondering if anyone with a smoothwall box could test oculus.com please and let me know what the results are.

Originally it was blocked so we unblocked oculus.com however the site is covered in facebook / Meta branding. The images and content are coming from Facebook's CDN servers. We have managed unblock the images however the theme and overall appearance of Oculus.com is still being blocked.

Looking at the logs in Smoothwall, it would appear that the theme of the site is coming from https://static.xx.fbcdn.net and since we have pretty much have everything Facebook blocked, we are finding Oculus.com is beginning to get a bit difficult to unblock.

Thanks

Turns out i was having a bit of a mental block.

Got it working by creating a new category, Oculus and adding a couple of URLs.

scontent.oculuscdn.com

xx.fbcdn.net

oculus.com

This policy needs to be above any facebook categories that may be blocked further down in the policy table.

Also the category had to be added to the DO NOT INSPECT HTTPS policy.

  • Thanks 1
