New to WSUS

Hi,

 

We use WSUS for updates and I understand that periodically it stops working.

 

I've had no previous exposure to WSUS and I was wondering, does anyone know of an idiot's guide to WSUS? What's the best way to determine how successfully it's operating?

WSUS without AdamJ's cleanup script will eventually die. This is a commercially available script https://www.ajtek.ca/wam/what-is-wsus-automated-maintenance/

 

It will use as much storage as you have, otherwise. Using the script it stays fast and effective (though you may still get timeout errors in the console).
