Hello All,

Hoping one of you guys can help as we're all really stuck. We have two RDS servers that everyone logs into and installed on there is Office 2016 with Access. We have quite a few Access Databases setup on a seperate File Server (Shared Area) that everyone uses to input data into.

Recently we've had an issue whereby the access database won't allow multiple users to edit the databases and instead gives exclusive access to the first person who accesses the database. From what I can see nothing has changed and we haven't had any recent updates to the servers in the past few weeks. Permissions for the users are all good also.

I've found this online https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/report-an-issue/microsoft-access-record-locking-stopped-working/m-p/3039990 which seems to describe the same issue I'm having but there's not much info on how to fix it or any definite answer.

Is anyone else having similar problems?

:)

Thank you :) I'll give that a go. I removed an update KB5002099 in the end which resolved the problem for now. If you have any luck with the above would you mind kindly letting me know and I'll trial it then.

Manually installed on a handful of machine in one IT suite that's having the issue and have had responses this morning that seems to have solved issue for us. Ours are all single access though not got any that have multiple people accessing, but were receiving same errors.
