TriggerHappyUK Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 Hi All, Sorry, but I'm not a Mac person :-( Please go gentle on me. I've recently taken over a school network and I'm having issues with the Music Department's class of iMacs. They have Mojave as the OS. We use Jamf as out MDM. We've recently had to re-install several iMacs with our copy of Mojave, but now Logic Pro x doesn't want to install. I've even tried sticking it in the Self-Service, but it keeps failing. What mac-os can Logic Pro x 10.5.1 run on? We have 32 licenses for Logic Pro x Also, are we able to upgrade the mac-os and Logic Pro x to the latest versions, without costing anything? If so, then upgrading to all new versions may be the way to go. Thanks for reading, C
Brimstone Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 Logic Pro 10.5.1 requires macOS 11 Big Sur...Check your Macs can run this version https://www.apple.com/uk/logic-pro/specs/ 1
DalekSec Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 Also, are we able to upgrade the mac-os and Logic Pro x to the latest versions, without costing anything? macOS updates are free, have been for awhile now. Logic is a 1 off purchase also so free to update. 1

TriggerHappyUK Posted January 14, 2022 Author Posted January 14, 2022 Thank you for your help guys. Found out why Logic wouldn't install. It was being blocked by our Smoothwall. Opened up the IP address, BOOM! Downloaded straight away. Tried Big Sur and Monterey, but logins were too slow and it broke folder redirection. So went back to Mojave for now. May try Catalina one day soon.

FYI Mojave is no longer getting security updates. Would recommend trying Big Sur or Monterey!
