Parago (Assets) - Useless software/support - Anyone else still using it?

Good Morning All,

 

Working with a school who bought into Parago last year and after a year of problems trying to get it to work effectively they’re still getting no useful help from civica support

 

Contacted a number of schools who used to use it and seems they’ve all dumped it

 

Does anyone here still use it and wouldn’t mind answering some questions on it via email, or if you don’t use it anymore the reasons why too would be great to feedback

Bad software, bad support and expensive, very good at sales to schools.

Yep that’s our view on it too, but seems the school bought into a three year contract prior to me helping so are hoping to try to get somewhere with it but doesn’t seem like it’s gonna happen frankly!

Alas we're using it Steve, mainly for the Site team more so than IT (since their app's asset number does not match up with any of the sticky labels their guy slapped on all our equipment even though told not to).

 

Personally I think it's a terrible waste of money. Half the time the site on our staff can't login as it's as if the portal URL we hit decides to try validating the users credentials against a different database (and the URL changes every single time you click anywhere!)

I use it, not got around to leaving. The software agent is the best part, create the same "room" names as unique OU names and things auto move into the right "room"

I agree Snipe IT all the way, Parago is bad.
