nicholab Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 I now have 4 Microsoft laptops that are BSOD ing. Has any ones else experienced this and what did they do to fix it? These laptop are running of software built form the factory and then they have been Intuned.
3s-gtech Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 Have they been thoroughly firmware and Windows updated? Out of the box, my experience of Surfaces is that they essentially don't work (for very long) until that's done.
nicholab Posted December 14, 2021 Author Posted December 14, 2021 They have had a firmware update and they are running the latest windows. One of the unit I have hands on and I have run the Surface data erase and factory image. I did this to one of the other unit and it still caused issues and started bluescreening.
snagrat Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 Have you installed the Surface Driver pack? Windows 10 or Windows 11? What is the BSOD error code?

Lid goes down and it doesn't go to sleep properly. It then needs a force off and on. Out if interest how are you getting on with the surface 4s. Have you got many?

I had a phone call form MS support the suggestion at the moment is to try limiting the Memory the OS users starting form 8GB = 8192. I now have an issue that secure boot does not allow setting the Maximum memory setting. Anyone got a suggestion how to allow this? Thanks 1

victory2015 Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 for us this was the first symptom of the on board ssd failing.. given you cant replace it we now have around 7 dead surfaces that just dont boot . 1
