We have a couple of users who need to connect to all three SIMS instances, and have therefore configured our Connect.ini to allow this:

[sIMSConnection]

ServerName=svr1\SIMS2012

DatabaseName=SIMS

CommandTimeout=10000000

DatabaseMode=OnLine

[sIMSDatabases]

FriendlyName0=School 1

Server0=svr0\SIMS2012

DatabaseName0=SIMS

DatabaseMode0=OnLine

FriendlyName1=School 2

Server1=svr1\SIMS2012

DatabaseName1=SIMS

DatabaseMode1=OnLine

FriendlyName2=School 3

Server2=svr2\SIMS2012

DatabaseName2=SIMS

DatabaseMode2=OnLine

This works perfectly for most of SIMS, but not for the Exams module or Nova-T. Exams gives:

Exception EOlSysError in module ExamsW.exe. The specified module could not be found

and Nova-T gives:

SNOVA directory not found. Nova-T6 needs to know the location of this directory in order to run.

Any ideas?

OK, I've fixed the exams issue by reloading SIMS. I still get an issue with Nova-T.

This is likely due to the fact that the workstation can only see the S Drive of the local school, as it does not use the SQL connection at that point, but rather the Network path.

Depending on how your network is configured and access between sites etc, you might be able to create a script to remap the drive if the user picks which school they want, but Standalone version of Nova might be easier
