LeMarchand Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 (edited) Halo live action coming to Paramount Plus next year. https://twitter.com/i/status/1460313378572832768 Edited November 16, 2021 by LeMarchand Added YT
Koldov Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 I wonder if they will include gratuitous tea-bagging...? 1
paulkerton Posted December 10, 2021 Posted December 10, 2021 (edited) OK. I'm intrigued. Love the games, so I'm looking here at what we might have to hand. Halsey, what looks like a giant Covenant ship (Edit: OMG it's High Charity - that looks ridiculously good!), Makee, Soren-066, I'm assuming a young John, Miranda Keyes, some truly stunning effects work and the Chief looking spot on. Makee will be the most controversial character, but Charlie Murphy is ridiculously talented, so hopefully she will get people on side. Excited to see what comes along. Notice we've actually yet to see a Halo ring in any form?? Edited December 10, 2021 by paulkerton
ICTDirect_Dave Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 It's very pretty! It's going to take a lot to get to grips with Chief having a different voice though. I can only assume it's because we're going to see him without the armour, but still it'll be a jarring change. Glad they've got Jen Taylor in to play Cortana though.
paulkerton Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 I think it looks good, though I'm a bit upset that Cortana looks like a lady I used to hang out with back in the day...
ICTDirect_Dave Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 I've just looked at the cast list. There's no Sgt Avery Johnson :-(
paulkerton Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 I've just looked at the cast list. There's no Sgt Avery Johnson :-( Timeline wise it's set before Halo: CE (even though its in it's own timeline) so he wouldn't be introduced until later once they find Alpha Halo.
ICTDirect_Dave Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 I didn't know it was it's own universe. Gives them more latitdue story-wise I guess. But Chief and Johnson worked together as early as 2526 (26 years before halo:ce) where he was an advisor to Chief's Blue team and fought along side them. He was also part of the original Spartan-I program. I'm just bitter because I love him and I reckon they're missing a trick by not including him early.
paulkerton Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 where he was an advisor to Chief's Blue team and fought along side them. This is Silver team, so we now have: The Silver Timeline (TV series) and The Blue Timeline (Everything else) 1
paulkerton Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 24th March. In the US. "Summer" in the UK, as it will launch with Paramount Plus.
