Education Firewall and Filtering

Hi all,

 

We are looking at reviewing our firewall and filtering packages - for a 3 site MAT.

 

One of the key points of us is the reporting of the filtering section, particualry the safeguarding aspects.

 

We also have a 1:1 device scheme and would need devices to be protected off site too.

 

I'd love to hear your suggestions and thoughts / experiances.

We're using Senso for our 1:1 Chromebooks, onsite and offsite. Works pretty well and has modules for filtering and safeguarding, with critical alerts sent immediately to DSLs.

I'd recommend taking a look at Securly for Filtering. It is great for safeguarding leads with simplified reports and live email alerts for any flagged events. No client needs to be installed. https://www.securly.com/filter - Extension can be pushed to Edge and Chrome, SmartPac and DNS. It also has a great parent app for filtering at home on school owned devices.
