Hi all,

Got a bunch of GeoBooks from the DfE last year that I now want to InTune into our schools enrolment. However, I can't seem to get it to boot to USB image?

I've tried secure boot on/off.

Legacy mode.

Setting boot order manually.

Booting into boot options.

Holding shift and restart within Windows 10 to manually select USB from boot options.

However, it either keeps looping to the BIOS or just continues to boot the current Windows 10 image.

Has anyone had any joy with these things?

TIA!

I believe F7 will bring up the boot menu on these. They are very picky about what USB network adapter will work with them.

There is a StarTech adapter that is supposed to work (USB31000S) However I couldn't get it to work.

For some of our's we had to enable the Network Stack Driver Support for it to boot from the StarTech Adaptor, but others it was fine without updating it.. different batches had different BIOS settings it seems.

However from USB drive with installation media it should be fine and should pick up from the F7 boot menu. It's use USB NIC it's picky about

Thanks guys, so I managed to get it to work... weird steps but this is what I had to do:

Boot into Windows.

Restart to BIOS

Enable Secure Boot

Set to Legacy Boot

Enable Full USB

Find the BIOS password, enter it, create a new bios password and then remove it,

Set the Boot Order.

These devices are extremely painful to work with :(

Must admit, once adjusting the bios one so they can boot from USB NIC, not had much of a problem with them.

Make sure you get the driver pack that should be on their site if you find you have some unknown devices still.
