Wonde and Its Learning

Good morning everyone.

 

One of our sites is moving its MIS from Schoolbase to Bromcom.

 

My concern is Wonde, and specifically Its Learning. Its Learning have mentioned to me that once Wonde is syncing from Bromcom there may be a chance that the students will be taken off their course and will have to be manually added back in. My worry is that they might lose work.

 

Has anyone done anything similar, moving from one MIS to another? I'm just wondering if this is an issue and what probelms you had,

Hi there

 

We have many Schools that use Wonde to connect to their Bromcom MIS and pull data across, which works absolutely fine.

 

Unless Its Learning can directly connect to Bromcom via their own API's, we would advise that Its Learning contact Wonde to troubleshoot/discuss this as Wonde would be pulling the data out of Bromcom.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I've wondered how this would work when going from one MIS to another, many 3rd party systems rely upon a pupils "ID" within the MIS rather than admission no's or UPN's - when migrating from one MIS to another would the ID's generally be ported across? I'm guessing in this case wonde would continue to present the same pupil data to the 3rd party and the change could be semi-transparent?

We moved from Sims to Bromcom.

 

Both Groupcall exporter and Wonde integration migrations were pretty seemless. No issues with syncing as both sync products work natively with Bromcom.
