The transport secretary, Grant Shapps, has said his plans for the new Great British Railways will involve “updated versions of the classic ‘double-arrow’ logo” when the system is launched next year. He has promised “a single familiar brand with a bold new vision for passengers – of punctual services, simpler tickets and a modern and green railway that meets the needs of the nation”. Meanwhile, with the Glasgow climate-change conference near, the Rail Delivery Group (RDG) launched a campaign on Wednesday to underline the environmental benefits of train travel, featuring the traditional logo but coloured in five shades of green... 1
3s-gtech Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 I really hope that leave it alone, longer term. It’s a stunning piece of simple, recognisable, relevant and timeless design. Still looks fresh. Colour change is silly and complicates it. 2
hardtailstar Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 My dad says he's going to get his british rail uniform out when it all changes to wear to work! He's worked on the railway for many years from British rail to the multiple franchises that have run the train service local to me. Its the same everytime, the private company struggle to run the rail service. 2
