ITJS2015 Posted October 7, 2021 Posted October 7, 2021 Hi Since i have upgraded to windows 11, my mapped drive to sharepoint has stopped working. I found out when i copied the url link from internet explorer work for me when i accesses sharepoint but soon as i logged in to sharepoint with edge and copied the url to the mapped network drive it keeps prompting me with credentials. Never had this issue with IE but it seems that the edge settings doesnt work. I have accepted the URL in the trusted sites. Would anyone be able to help with either a powershell script or batch file ? I have tried to use net use T:\\URL \persistent \:yes still no luck Can anyone help Thanks
mavhc Posted October 7, 2021 Posted October 7, 2021 Mapping a drive that way uses WebDAV? Compared to using One Drive Files On Demand They've been planning to get rid of it https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/view-sharepoint-files-in-file-explorer-66b574bb-08b4-46b6-a6a0-435fd98194cc
mavhc Posted October 7, 2021 Posted October 7, 2021 https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/sharepoint-view-in-edge may be useful
liamrobinson Posted October 7, 2021 Posted October 7, 2021 Webdav is only supported on IE so you'd probably need IE to create the connection. The way i do it is create a new GPO > User Config > Admin Templates > Onedrive > Configure team site libraries to Sync automatically Enter the SharePoint library ID you wish to sync. It can take upto 8 hours to appear, not sure why but that's MS! It will only sync if the user has rights to that sharepoint library
mavhc Posted October 7, 2021 Posted October 7, 2021 They say it's delayed because they don't want 1000 users doing the initial syncing of 100 000 files all at the same time
