Thank you. @Tred444 1. I'll look into it, All I have setup is a shared folder with Years > Student Name > Bespoke settings.ini. This works for us as they always use the same devices but can imagine its difficult if you have shared devices. 2. I've not tried it, but imagine it should be fine. 3. Autosave works for the main (working) file and the backup file. By default they save every 2 mins and 30s respectively. There's a load of feature requests i need to look at, once i get some time i'll go through them and create V1.0.9

sims How to Prevent SIMS Next Gen Default Timetables
liamrobinson replied to EFIRMIN's topic in MIS Systems
it’s in Admin panel, down the bottom under “SIMS7 Redirects” even if you turn it off they will force you too it over summer anyway. Might as well do it now and work out the issues now before September -

@David44 most schools have put up with it because SIMS is all they know and it’s worth it to not have to switch to a system that’s alien to them. SNG is awful in its current form, if they push on, those schools will decide to leave -

SNG is going to be the death of SIMS as we know it. I'm already thinking of asking SLT to push for a move to Arbor. We have a template for our timetables to fit inside a little lanyard pocket so the students have them alongside their dinner cards. Just come to print them off and they are back to being A4 size with no way of changing them, you can edit the details but not the sizing, i'm probably going to have to use Command Reporter now and create a custom system 💩 Edit: Just seen there's an "export to excel" so it should be easy enough but still a faff when it was already set up. -
Thanks @shane.williams07. I've just enabled a bug/feature request section in the dashboard. Could you do me a favour and please submit it there? A) So i don't forget and B) to test it actualyl works as expected!

Apologies for the delay I've had hospital appointments coming out of my ears and been busy on top of that. I did manage to replicate the issues with the flickering and it was on the second page where the page break happens which was causing it. V.1.0.7 is now available on the dashboard Fixed flickering/jumping page Fixed issue with not being able to exit full screen despite Always Full Screen toggle being off Added custom default file name
-
I hadn't noticed that but just confirmed the same issue on mine. Its ignoring the Fullscreen toggle. I'll look at it as soon as i can and hopefully have it fixed and updated int he dashboard this week. If anyone else has any little issues/requests feel free to pop them here i'll do what I can. I prefer to bundle fixes together if i can so i'm not adding anew release every day 😂
-
No probs, just let me know, i cant promise i can fix it but i'll help where i can!
-
Are you on the latest version V1.0.6? There was an issue before which was due to the way the canvas/page is drawn and it was 'refreshing' on every keypress. This has since been fixed and i haven't seen it since, please let me know what version and what settings you have enabled and I'll take a look (can paste your config file minus any personal details)
-
Afternoon all. V1.0.6 is now live with a few changes including those mentioned above. Custom Exam Boards and Multiple Centre Numbers available in this version. I've also fixed the issue with the taskbar showing in exam mode, its now a full kiosk mode app. (just don't forget to note down the invigilator password if you set one, as you wont be able to close it down without it, as I found out on my own machine today 😂) Dashboard | ExamPad+

That sounds good! I’m glad it’s working (to an extent). My plans are hopefully iron out all the bugs and once it’s done, it should only need occasional updates every now and then for security and stability. Down the line I may look at monetising it for Further Education, not sure what that would consist of though, and If I did, it would me minimal cost still. My only real plans are get it finished and used in my own school when GCSEs arrive! (Students have their own laptops with V1.05 running in classroom mode with spell checker etc turned off)
-
I struggled with the taskbar, I need to revisit this and hopefully get a full 'Fullscreen' experience when i get chance to make some changes. Currently with exam mode enabled its 'always on top' but the task bar still shows, they cant do anything as anything that they manage to click opens displays in the background but i agree its not ideal. Regarding it not opening for teachers i'm not sure what that could be, it doesn't require any admin privileges, just needs access to read/write the settings.ini file, i've not come across this in my testing. I've found the issue with the timer displaying when it should be off, that will be fixed in the next release. Thank you for the feedback!

Most of our invigilators don't know how to turn the laptops on, getting them to change settings would cause havoc 😂
-
At the moment they cant only access specific settings, its either all or none but they are grouped into 'Exam Overrides' so the only real settings they should be changing are within that section. I'll add it to the feature requests and see if i can create a "invigilator panel" which only has access to specific settings!
-
There's a settings.ini file containing all the settings. Configure it how you want via the admin panel, export settings and copy this file to C:/Program Data/ExamPadPlus - I've added an admin guide on the website to show how you can distribute the install and the settings.ini via Intune or PDQ deploy.
