TMBS Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 Hi I'm trying to install the Assembly exporter on our MIS server but it is trying to use our old (3 years ago) proxy settings from Schools Broadband, which we no longer use and have a transparent proxy. They've remoted on and checked there it's nothing obvious. I've been through all the Internet/Proxy settings in the control panel, RMMC, Chrome and it's not set anywhere else I can see. If I run the 'netsh winhttp show proxy' command it shows are direct internet connection. I've had look throught the registry and it was showing in Windows Defender and Team Viewer, I've deleted both entries and uninstalled Teamviewer but still no joy! Where else could it be hiding? I've tried to install the software on the DC to test and it does the same so I presume it's being pushed from there but it's like looking for a needle in a haystack... Any help greatfully received as always
DavR Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 Last time I did much with proxy servers, we used group policy, and this pushed out proxies per user, not per computer. Could the account you're using still have a proxy set? If you created a new local on that server, does it have the same problem? You could always try pushing out blank proxy settings to the users in question via GP.
Sonic007 Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 (edited) Have you tried: Check IE's settings have no proxy. Then run cmd and do: netsh winhttp import proxy source=ie Or also check in Sims Services Manager as there is option to set proxy details in there too. Edited September 22, 2021 by Sonic007
