Is there an option for a PIN rather than a card?

 

We use pins within our Biostore setup with a handful of kids whose parent's have not consented to biometrics. We have a numeric keypad connected to the till via USB cable and it works well.

We use AMI at our school, there support has been very good in the 4 years. Can't complain from an IT point of view

This is what we currently do with Cunninghams.

My place ditched Cunninghams when I had just joined but from what I heard it was pretty terrible. We moved to Biostore who was decent at first but now Iris have got there claws into them the support has gone down hill. It's a struggle to speak to the right team as the 1st liner's are just copying a script etc which sometimes is ok if it's a minor issue but not so good if it's more of a complex one.

I now work for a catering provider and we deal with Cunningham, Biostore, Civica NRS etc and all have their own issues with support. Its been easier now the new versions of Cunningham report to the cloud as no local server/db required based on what I can see.

CivicaNRS are in a situation where they is a issue with V7 going to V9 and cloud as cannot have both in a cloud instance but waiting to see how they resolve. Biostore does not have a cloud option to link I gather not will it, which would be benficial for a trust to centrally report. Anything to remove pain from local IT is a win I see as the people on the ground have to help support which is a pain, whether server, security etc with unpatched, old systems. Be good if there was a new company that comes in that links to MIS and is cloud based but not seeing it currently.

Probably reviving a dead topic here and some of you may have seen my other posts around the issues we've had with BlueRunner, can't see anybody mentioning them here but definitely looking to get out only two years into a 5 year contract.

 

BlueRunner might get better now they are owned by ParentPay but I can't see it.

 

Looking at Live Register myself but previously looked at AMI, Cunninghams, and Biostore.
