I started my IT journey on a ZX-81 at the age of 11 (with the wobbly ram pack), moved on to the Spectrum.

 

Big shame.

Just picked up on this news, sad, but we should celebrate Sir Clive Sinclair's achievements. He contributed very much to my youth and in many ways has influenced what I am today.

Yep, the irony of then, and now.

Most of what I know about him comes from the BBC film Micro Men. Well worth a watch if it can be found anywhere.

 

Any mention of Sinclair always reminds me of that line from Red Dwarf, where Kryten is talking about how indestrucable Starbug is. "This baby's crashed more times than a ZX-81".
