Designing a Report Help

Hi

 

I'm wondering if someone could give me some guidance please...

 

I've been asked to produce a report (in Sims.net) that I can run as and when needed.

 

It needs to show some information for our registration groups

 

Number of male/females

Number of PP/nonPP

Number of H/M/L Prior Attainment

Number of SEND E/K/N

 

I'm confused on how I get it to pull out numbers of these groups, rather than a list of the students.

The [Count] fields (with the blue icon next to them) are at the bottom of the lists when you select Student as the report type, and should show under each sub-category.

Reports > School Report. Tick Pupil Numbers and Key Pastoral and then Generate. It provides a breakdown by Year Group rather than Reg Group though.

I had a look at the school report, but it's in form groups I need the information for

Also worth setting the output type as analysis report, which effectively gives you a dynamic pivot table.

I think the built-in population analysis is a good example to look at then make your own.
