Danp Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Since around midday on Friday, some users have not been able to access Gmail and or Drive via their school Chromebooks. Odd thing is, it's not everyone, only about 20% of the staff. They are for the most part, in the same OU, using the same type of Chromebook. Message says "Gmail is not available for email@schoolname within this network". We did change domain names 10 days ago, so not sure why a week after that it would start being a problem. Also, why only some users? We all changed domain names, I'd have thought it would have been everyone. Any thoughts? Google support have suggested using incognito mode for now and that works
Michael Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Presumably you can still see these users in G Suite Admin? Is the old domain still there, acting as an alias or not?
Danp Posted September 6, 2021 Author Posted September 6, 2021 (edited) Presumably you can still see these users in G Suite Admin? Is the old domain still there, acting as an alias or not? Users are there with the new domain name, they sign into their Chromebooks with the new one, the old is there as an alias. I think I've got to the bottom of the problem, it's an extension, probably securly that causing it. Moved an affected users to a 'no extensions OU' and the problem was solved. edit/update - as soon as I blocked the securly extension on staff logins it worked Edited September 6, 2021 by Danp
