Strange outlook 365 issue

I've got a very strange issue and I wondering if anyone had any ideas? We have two users who last term clicked on a dodgy email, we checked with sophos nothing on the machine and was sorted. Now, everytime the user opens Outlook it automatically closes. What is strange is that this is on ANY computer across the school (whether they have logged on there previously or not). This for me, discounts a PST issue or profile issue? Any ideas?

Just tested using outlook in safe mode and it automatically closes again.

Are you using redirection at all, i.e. app data and no roaming profiles either?

 

The other thing you could possibly try is deleting the mail profile and re-creating.

weird issue indeed, I would backup their pst and delete the user entirely - recreate and test
