TwistedHelixis Posted August 18, 2021 Posted August 18, 2021 I need to remove folder redirection for My Documents etc. I have searched but have also read that making a wrong change can muck everything up, hence my post. Currently all users access their documents as a home folder (H drive), so I believe I need to leave any files there but remove the redirect only, if that makes sense. Do I update / change the current policy, or make a new one? I have supplied images of current policy setup, what would you suggest I change? BTW this is a 2016 DC Thanks
philellis Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 Hi I've just implemented onedrive folder redirection at one of our sites and this required all previous folder redirection to be removed. I simply unlinked the legacy folder redirection policies and this seemed to do the trick. Hope this helps
TwistedHelixis Posted August 30, 2021 Author Posted August 30, 2021 Someone suggested that I should replace the \\server\ path with %USERPROFILE%\Documents, although I have not tested this yet as the staff are not back yet.
DaveTheTech Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 (edited) I'd take a look at my writeup of it here. It worked great - why dont you try it out with a test staff accounts? PS Script to help OneDrive Migration (edugeek.net) Edited August 31, 2021 by DaveTheTech
