Google Cloud Directory Sync

HI, bit of odd one this but I'm hoping someone may have come across the same.

 

I am about to move into a school that is using gsuite, but they did not use Google Cloud Directory Sync to create accounts they where created manually.

 

Is there anyway I can use Google Cloud Directory Sync and it merge with current gsuite accounts?

GCDS isn't always the best solution for user creation. I guess they're not looking to move to Google as the primary system for students though?If the users email address is populated in AD with the same address they'll be using in Google Workspace then it'll just recognise the users are the same.

Sounds similar to our setup..

 

G suite sync didn't work for us when we signed up to G-Suite many moons ago (Different domain names/email format to user name) and the manual process isn't so bad, it's just a CSV upload. I share your frustration though, would be nice to have everything sync'd with azure and use that as SSO.

 

Click bulk add, download the template, paste your user details in and upload it, job done. In fact I've done our 2021 intake this afternoon, G-Suite user provisioning was the quickest part, download template, paste, upload, auto license, done.
