I have only ever seen one once. A parent wanted to pay at the school book fair with one. (Private school)

I used to come across quite a few many years ago.

 

My dad has a Fish & Chip Shop. It was opposite a large building site and the builders that got paid in cash got it in £50 notes. They then spent them at my dads shop.

You might see the £50 a little more now they've replaced it with a polymer note and it's no longer really, really easy to fake them anymore!
