Libresoft CSV file

Hey everyone,

 

This is probably a silly question, but I'm updating the pupil list on our school's library system, Libresoft. The only issue is, before I got here (March) the librarian had been doing them manually, inputting the child's details and allowing the UPN to be filled out automatically. I've been looking at uploading a CSV file, but one of the mandatory fields is UID - where would I find this? Do I make it up?

How are you producing the CSV file - are you exporting from a MIS (which one) in some way? Your MIS should (hopefully) be able to export a UID for each child.

This was right, I was exporting from an MIS - I was getting confused because the librarian had previously been using a random UID that Libresoft was generating for each child. I used the UPN (UID under a different name in our MIS) and it worked fine. Thank you

We are glad that you got the UPN sorted. We tend to suggest using a UPN to sort out the students in Librarian, but sometimes schools prefer using a different unique identification. If you ever have any issues or questions about the system - please do let us know by submitting a support ticket.
