Hi there, We have been working throughout the weekend to resolve the technical issues impacting our servers, and we have made good progress. Unfortunately, half of our systems are still impacted, so there will be continued issues for some users. We are optimistic that we will make further progress today, are are working hard to rectify the remaining issues. We are very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused, and we are grateful for your ongoing patience and understanding. All the best The Libresoft Team

We are really excited to announce that we have a new update of Libresoft Librarian+ (our library management system designed for secondary-level schools) due to be released next month. We have listened to feedback from our users and so our development team have been hard at work implementing some significant improvements to the system. We will be running some virtual showcases which offer a full demo of the system - book your showcase place here. If those timings are not convenient, or if you prefer, book a personal online demo here. Both offer the chance to see the system in action and the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. To celebrate our new release, we are delighted to run a prize draw for school's booking and attending one of our showcases or personal demos between 1st June and 30th June 2023. There are 3 prizes to be won each providing free set-up/migration plus a 50% discount on the first year Libresoft Librarian+ subscription fee - full T&Cs can be found here. We hope to see you at one of our events.

Hello! Libresoft here, apologies for not noticing this post before now! To confirm, user passwords can be changed (individually or in bulk) via the Users>Change User Passwords option. There are password requirements which need to be met - these do vary by by the user type. Alternatively, both Google SSO and Microsoft SSO is available as a login option, there is no charge for either of these.

Hello, We are glad that you got the UPN sorted. We tend to suggest using a UPN to sort out the students in Librarian, but sometimes schools prefer using a different unique identification. If you ever have any issues or questions about the system - please do let us know by submitting a support ticket. https://features.libresoft.co.uk/create-ticket/

Absolutely we have helped numerous schools move from their existing library management system. We can import your books, users and loans data meaning that all barcodes remain the same and loaned books do not need to be returned ahead of the switchover. The process usually takes about 2 hours (we ask to allow for half a day in case of any problems, our current record time is 41 minutes) after which you are up and running on Libresoft Librarian...

No, not related to FLOSS we have developed the Libresoft Librarian software ourselves - it is not open source. Libre has been taken from the French meaning of having little or no restriction.
-
The name was derived from "Libre" - freedom and "soft" software. Software giving users freedom.

We are happy to hear your schools are pleased with Libresoft Librarian. We are continually improving and enhancing our system so in response to "it doesn't do a ton of extra stuff" - do let us know if there are some specific features that we can add (via e-mail to [email protected] or Tweet us @LibresoftUK). The system has been most thoroughly tested in Chrome but should work in most modern internet browsers - with the exception of printing barcodes due to the margin settings where Chrome is recommended. Allowing the system to launch straight into the borrow/return page is in our development list so watch this space... We are here to answer any queries so do get in touch if you would like any information from us.

If we can help any further, please don't hesitate to get in touch directly. Rachel The Customer Success Team. Libresoft Librarian.

I am afraid that I am unable to answer that on this thread to avoid breaching any community guidelines in regards to advertising. Our contact details can be found on our website though and I would be happy to discuss any queries you may have.

Did you run into this issue on a particular page? On the newest version of the system you should be able to manually type in a barcode if required.
