FN-GM Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 This will drive you nuts!! Have fun! The object of the game is to move the red block around Without getting hit by the blue blocks or touching the black walls. If you can go longer than 18 seconds you are phenomenal. It's been Said that the US Air Force uses this for fighter pilots. They are Expected to go for at least 2 minutes. Give it a try but be careful...it is addictive!! Escapa!
EduTech Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 Pretty Good Game, Had a few trys and managed to get just over 18 seconds http://img158.imageshack.us/img158/2980/prtscreenhw6.png James.
GrumbleDook Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 It is based too much on pattern recognition. The proper test has a random path pattern so that the chances of you getting the same test is less that in 1 in 10,000. You cannot learn the pattern and have to react to the stimulus presented to you. The tests will have anything from 1 to 10 blocks on the screen to dodge. Each test lasts for 25 seconds and then changes to a fresh one, emphasising the need to constantly adapt to fresh stimulus. Such tests are common, the MOD's BARB test is one of them, containing elements of extrapolation and reaction testing. As with IQ tests there are some common things you can do to learn how to be successful in these tests and organisations like the army, the Civil Service and a few others have tests were they test you, then teach you how to ake the test more successfully ... then test you again. They are not looking for how well you did in the test but how will you adapted and learnt how to improve. Pretty consistantly getting 20-ish seconds after a few minutes of trying ... the secret is not to stop moving the block completely as it makes it difficult to decide where to go next and to try and avoid corners where possible as it limits your options when choosing where to move.
EduTech Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 Yea i agree there, i noticed the pattern so just tried to remember it on just gt score higher and higher i supose if i sat here trying to master the pattern could complete it lol. but i aint gt that much time on my hands muhaha. SeanVin Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 How come the blue squares are allowed to go outside the white box?
