[2004, 20h2] File explorer search box not working in a certain OU

We've got an odd issue whereby if a computer is in a certain OU the search box in the top right of a file explorer window won't allow you to click into it if logged on as a member of staff or a student. Domain admin accounts have it working correctly.

 

Another computer in a different OU (same parent OU) works fine, I can't see a difference in any group policies applied so it's a bit of a head scratcher! Anyone got any ideas?

Check the AppLocker log, could be some old rules still in effect.

Did you manage to find a solution for this? We are still struggling and the issue seems to be spreading with more computers affected!!

had the same issue with a few machines

 

I had to end up downloading and installing windows latest update which fixed the issue
