[bromcom] Anyone using Google Integration

Hi all,

 

Is anyone using Google Classroom provisioning from Bromcom? I am looking at enabling this over the summer but have a couple of questions:

 

• Our users are provisioned using the google AD sync tool. I presume I am alright carrying on doing this and it will just match users up based upon email address?
  
• Were classes you already had on Google Classrooms, or have added manually since, removed at the point of sync. I know the tool mentions keeping classes tidy but I am hoping it is clever enough to keep track of ones it has created, rather than JUST keeping ones that are on Bromcom (if that makes sense). We would, for example, like to create year group classes for select subjects and would hope that we can do this manually without them being removed when a sync runs

We run Bromcom to Google and find it works well.

- Yes we provision users via the AD sync tool. Bromcom will then marry up the users and if users cannot be found then it will create a random email address which can be configured in Bromcom so we use prefix with these accounts with BROM.DONOTUSE
